Milprazon Chewable Worming Tablets is a safe and effective worming treatment for mixed infections caused by adult and immature cestodes and nematodes in dogs and puppies. It has been indicated for the prevention and control of various types of intestinal worms including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. It is also proven to be effective in controlling heartworm disease and lungworm infections. How it works?

Milprazon chewable tablet contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Milbemycin is a macrocyclic lactone that acts by disrupting nerve transmission within the parasite leading to death of the parasite. It is also a potent microfilariacidal drug, meaning it can kill the microscopic offspring of heartworms and prevent heartworm disease. On the other hand, Praziquantel is an acylated isoquinoline pyrazine compound demonstrated to have cestocidal effects on juvenile, adult worms and many other species of cestodes including tapeworms. It impairs the function of the parasite’s sucker and stimulates movement of the worm. These actions cause dislodgement of the parasite’s attachment to the intestinal tract and allow it to be eliminated in the feces (stool).
