Vetafarm Scatt Mite Treatment For Birds
Scatt solution is an effective treatment for the mites like scaly face mites, also called burrowing mites, and air sac mites, found most commonly in the ornamental birds like budgerigars, finches and canaries and other birds of the same kind. Regular usage of these drops helps in controlling recurring infestations.
How does it work?
The solution comes in easy-to-apply drops that remove the pesky parasites from the body of your avian buddy and stop the spread of infestation. It saves your bird from keratin damage and curbs long term health problems and permanent deformities.
Directions
For scaly face mites:
- Use 1 drop of Scatt solution to the birds under 30 grams (1oz) body weight.
- Use 2 drops of Scatt solution to the birds weighing between 30 to 100 grams (1 to 4oz)
- Apply drops on the skin of the thigh of your bird.
- Treat all the birds in the cage or aviary to stop the spread of infestation.
- Repeat the treatment in 21 days if necessary. Full recovery may require up to 6 weeks’ time.
For air sac mites:
- Use 1 drop of Scatt solution to the birds under 30 grams (1oz) body weight.
- Use 2 drops of Scatt solution to the birds weighing between 30 to 100 grams (1 to 4oz)
- Apply drops on the skin of the thigh of your bird.
- Treat all the birds in the cage or aviary to stop the spread of infestation.
- Repeat the treatment 3-4 times a year for best results.
